Authenticate to Detroit Mercy services without Wi-Fi or cellular service

Should you find yourself in a situation where you are attempting to log into one of Detroit Mercy’s authenticated services, but are unable to do so because you may not have Wi-Fi available, Detroit Mercy’s authentication provider offers a solution to use with some prior planning.

This is perfect for traveling abroad without Wi-Fi or cellular service.

The solution requires the installation of the Microsoft Authenticator application on your mobile device in advance or when Wi-Fi or cellular service is available. Once installed and configured with your @udmercy.edu account, users are able to authenticate their mobile device as “off the grid.”

Within the application, click on the email address to be given a one-time passcode that will be displayed with a 30-second countdown timer. Enter before the time expires to successfully authenticate.
