Speaking at the ninth annual David Mosimann Foundation Forum on Oct. 7 in Milan, Italy, School of Dentistry Dean Mert Aksu presented a lecture titled, “A Critical Look at the Model of U.S. Dental Education.” His presentation addressed issues impacting the future of dental education, including issues of program cost, workforce diversity and sustainability of the U.S. Dental Education Model.

In attendance were dental educators from all over the world. Aksu was one of three U.S. deans invited to share his insights into dental education in the United States.
