Audition for Theatre Company’s production of ‘Pride and Prejudice’

Audition for Theatre Company’s production of ‘Pride and Prejudice’

All Detroit Mercy students are welcome to audition for Detroit Mercy Theatre Company‘s next production, Pride and Prejudice.

The open auditions are set for Monday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. in Reno Hall, Room 164.

Callbacks following the auditions will be the following night on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. in the same room.

Requirements for the student auditions include:

  • Prepare one monologue, preferably from a high comedy, that is under two minutes.
  • Dress comfortably (there will be a light movement portion of the audition).
  • No experience is required to audition (come with the desire to perform!).

Bold, surprising, boisterous and timely, Pride & Prejudice enters the world of the Bennet family as outspoken sister Lizzy navigates love with the handsome and impossibly aggravating Mr. Darcy. Written by Kate Hamill, the play is based on the novel by Jane Austen.
