Join Detroit Mercy’s first cohort for Search Advocate Training

Do you want to advocate for diversity and inclusive excellence in the search process?

The dates are:

  • Tuesday, May 2 — 9 a.m. to noon (Engineering, Room 120)
  • Thursday, May 4 — 9 a.m. to noon (Engineering, Room 120)
  • Tuesday, May 9 — 9 a.m. to noon (Engineering, Room 120)
  • Thursday, May 11 — 9 a.m. to noon (Engineering, Room 120)

Learn strategies to mitigate implicit bias. Be the person on the search committee who ensures that all voices are heard and encourages communication between the committee, candidates and other stakeholders.

Learn tips to be better prepared to actively participate in all phases of the search process at Detroit Mercy.

The search advocate trainers for Detroit Mercy are: Jahazara Mayes, Juliette Daniels, Mara Livezey and Yvonne King. Please register by Friday, April 14.

Note that to complete the training, attendance is required at each one. There are also two pre-assignments for the workshop.
