Men’s basketball standout Antoine Davis repeated as the Horizon League Player of the Year after the league honors were announced on Monday. It’s also the seventh time a Titan men’s basketball student-athlete has earned the award.
Davis earns the Player of the Year accolade on his own for the 2022-23 season after sharing the laurel last season.
He is the seventh player in Horizon League history to receive the honor twice and sixth to earn it in back-to-back seasons. Davis also became a five-time First Team All-Horizon League player, the only player in league history to receive that honor in more than four seasons.
Davis enters Tuesday’s first-round Horizon League Championship matchup with 3,604 career points, 63 shy of tying Pete Maravich’s all-time NCAA mark of 3,667.
The Titans, the No. 8 seed in the tournament, host ninth-seeded Purdue Fort Wayne at 7 p.m. from Calihan Hall.
