Detroit Mercy undergraduate students, if you’ve applied for graduation, you may be eligible to apply for Valedictorian for the Class of 2023 as well as the Kappa Gamma Pi Honors Society.
The deadline for the Valedictorian application/nomination process is March 6, while the application deadlines for Kappa Gamma Pi Honor Society is March 13.
To be considered for the Valedictorian:
- Minimum of 3.8 GPA
- Made a significant contribution to the University or community
- Must be a positive and worthy representative of Detroit Mercy
- Willing to give the 4-minute farewell speech at 2023 Commencement
- Minimum of 3.3 GPA
- Two recipients are eligible to receive $3,500 grant for graduate expenses
- Students who demonstrate commitment to faith and service
- Members are graduates who have demonstrated academic excellence and outstanding leadership during college years
As a candidate, you pledge to continue to provide examples of scholarship, leadership and service in your personal and professional lives.
