Cybersecurity Club meeting, May 14, focuses on career and scholarship opportunities

Detroit Mercy’s Cybersecurity Club will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday, March 14 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. inside of the Briggs Building, Room 217 on the McNichols Campus. Free pizza will be provided for those in attendance.

The club hosts David Brumbaugh from the IRS Criminal Investigation field. He is an experienced expert in cybercrime analysis and computer forensics and will be discussing various career opportunities at IRS-CI. He will be joined by a forensic examiner to provide an informative cross section of all of the roles available at the organization.

Associate Professor of Cybersecurity and Director of the Detroit Mercy Center of Cyber Security and Intelligence Studies Anne Kohnke will also provide an overview of the ISACA Cybersecurity Scholarship Case Competition, including how to prepare, what judges are looking for, as well as a demonstration of a previous winning presentation.

The Cybersecurity Club meets to provide students with information on career and scholarship opportunities in cybersecurity and intelligence analysis. Experts in the field will guide attendees on how to make the most of these opportunities!
