If you are a Detroit Mercy student who is graduating in the 2022-23 academic year and you had served in the U.S. Military, you are eligible to wear a military stole with your academic regalia during the 2023 commencement ceremonies in May.
These military stoles are provided by Veteran Services at the University. All you need to do is send your name, student ID and branch of service that you served in along with a copy of your DD214 and a stole will be ordered for you.
If you are already working with the VA Certifying Official for your education benefits, you should have already been contacted, so you don’t need to send in your information.
