The University held the inaugural Spotlight on Excellence Celebration event on Monday, May 15 that brought together the Detroit Mercy community in the Student Union Ballroom of the McNichols Campus.
The event acknowledged the contributions and achievements of faculty, staff, administrators and retirees at the University.
Years of Service recognition was handed out to those with 10 or more years of service at the University, including Associate Professor of Religious Studies Justin Kelly, S.J., earning an honor of 50 years and Professor of Finance Suk Hi Kim receiving recognition for 45 years.
