Professor of History and Department Co-Chair Roy Finkenbine gave a talk on “Uncomfortable Discoveries: Teaching Race and Slavery in America’s Past” as a keynote speaker for Teaching Race in America: A Professional Development Conference.

The conference, which was held at Oakland University and sponsored by the Kresge Foundation, was for K-12 and university instructors in Michigan.
