Isaiah “Ike” McKinnon ’75, ’78, a retired Detroit Mercy professor, retired chief of police of the Detroit Police Department and former deputy mayor of Detroit is being inducted into the Hall of Honor at the Michigan History Museum. He will be recognized among others for Distinguished Service in the United States Armed Forces, in addition to his outstanding civic contributions.
McKinnon received the Overseas Commemoration Medal as part of the U.S. Air Force for his time in Vietnam.
The induction ceremony is set to take place Oct. 27 at the Michigan History Museum in Lansing.
