All Detroit Mercy students are invited to take part in a “Pitch-A-Thon,” collaborating with students of other disciplines on innovative community health solutions for cash prizes of up to $500 per team.
The Student Excellence in Community Collaboration and Innovation (SECCI) Awards are set for Friday, Sept. 29 from 12-6 p.m. in the College of Health Professions, Room 124. Student “pitches” will begin at roughly 3 p.m.
This collaborative event is open to ALL Detroit Mercy students! Cash prizes of up to $500 are available for teams. Individual students should RSVP through the link below. Students will need to be present for the entire event to be eligible for the competition and prizes.
Teams will be organized during the event. Refreshments will also be provided. Participants will also be asked to complete an anonymous follow-up survey and a debrief discussion after their learning about their collaborative experiences.
