Celebrating first-generation students on Thursday, Nov. 7

First-generation students are the first in their families to attend college. We know our first-generation students are strong, resilient individuals who are determined to succeed in their endeavors here at Detroit Mercy.

On the eve of National First-Generation College Student Day, the Office of Student Life invites all first-generation students to stop by the Lower Level of the Student Union on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 12:45-2 p.m. during dead hour as we celebrate the tough cookies that you are. Treat yourself to a cookie and share your story on why being a first-generation student is important to you!
