The 2026 Safety Street trick-or-treat and Movies at Mercy event was a great success and would not be possible without the candy donations and involvement from students and staff from Detroit Mercy. More than 300 children from the local community and their families were able to safely enjoy trick-or-treating.
The Student Life Office would like to congratulate the following groups and departments:
- The Pre-Law Society donated 64 pounds of candy and won the student group candy donation competition.
- The Office of the Registrar donated 53 pounds of candy and won the faculty & staff candy donation competition.
- The Campus Activity Board and the Lebanese Student Association (LSA) tied for the facade decorating competition.
This event is only possible with collaboration from the campus community. Thank you to everyone who participated in creating a fun Halloween event for our community.
