The Detroit Mercy community is encouraged to join other Catholic organizations in the 21-day Environmental Justice Challenge, April 23-May 16.
Sign up to receive daily emails that will provide resources to learn, pray and act on a variety of environmental justice issues on a local, national and global scale. Topics vary but will include a wide range of situations and places, such as:
- solidarity with the Native resisters to the Line 3 pipeline
- the disproportionate harms of air and water pollution on Black and brown communities
- environmental racism and factory farms
- the efforts of water protectors in Honduras
- and land defenders in the Amazon rainforest and Boreal forest in Canada.
There is no cost or obligation to this opportunity to be informed and involved.
