Detroit Mercy students gathered together to raise awareness For the Thousands of Separated Immigrant Children from families all over the world with a chillingly real art installation outside of the McNichols Campus Library, Nov. 5. Created by a local artist Elaine Roseborough, the exhibit highlights childrens’ toys attached to wooden stakes. The installation will be on display for two weeks. Following the project, Assistant to the President for Mission Integration Catherine Punsalan-Manlimos led the group in a prayer service in solidarity.
This service and project is sponsored by University Ministry in partnership with the Departments of English, Performing Arts, Religious Studies, Women and Gender Studies Program, African-American Studies Program and University Honors Program.
