De-Stress Fest, Christmas Tree Lighting set for Nov. 30

Don your best holiday sweater and get into the Christmas cheer with your fellow Titans during the Christmas Tree Lighting and De-Street Fest on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 4:30-7 p.m. in the Student Fitness Center. The tree lighting ceremony begins at 5 p.m.

Beyond the lighting of the Christmas tree, students can participate in “Elf Training School” games, including an indoor snowball fight and Christmas-themed sack race. Students will have the opportunity to hone their crafting abilities by making lip balm and ornaments.

Hot chocolate, punch and a variety of holiday treats will be served and live music will be coordinated by University Ministry. The Student Success Center’s service dog, Bentley, will also be in attendance.

The event concludes with a 3-on-3 intramural basketball tournament, which begins at 7 p.m. Interested participants and teams may sign-up at imleagues.com/udmercy.

The event is co-sponsored by University Ministry, Student Life, Residence Life, the Student Fitness Center and Wellness Center.
