Get Out the Vote!

Thursday, Sept. 24, 6 to 7 p.m., Zoom

Hosted by Detroit Mercy Student Government Association
Led by Student Government Association student leaders, Orientation Leaders and Campus Vote Project representatives, this online bipartisan event will teach students how their vote can make a difference in the upcoming election. Nuns on the Bus: Town Halls for Spirit-Filled Voters

Thursday, Oct. 1, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

This interfaith and intercampus town hall will highlight the importance of being a multi-issue voter in the Detroit area and inform participants how to have tough conversations loved ones. Join this interfaith, intercampus and value-centered voting panel with the tagline, “A rabbi, priest, nun, humanist, Muslim and Buddhist walk into a Zoom.” Each panelist will share how their faith and values inform their approach to democratic participation and will invite time for a student Q&A.
