Titan students, looking for a little extra money or extra credit during the holiday season?
Detroit Mercy’s Psychology Department is looking for research participants for an eye movement and brain study. Compensation for the study is $20 or students participating in Psychology courses may earn extra credit points.
To be eligible for the study, students must be at least 18 years old, have normal or corrected-to normal visual acuity (you must wear your glasses or contact lenses), and have no history of flicker-induced epilepsy. A mask must be work in the lab. Participants must not have hair products in their hair. An electrode cap and three face electrodes will be fitted. Washable gel will be applied to the electrodes.
During the study, participants will direct their eyes to a target, when cued. Eye and brain responses will be monitored. There is no risk to participants’ health. The study takes place in Room 204 (Vision Research Lab) of Reno Hall, which is located on the McNichols Campus.
