Eco and Racial Justice immersion trip for students set for MLK Day, Jan. 15

Join Detroit Mercy’s Titan Equity Nourish Network (TENN) and University Ministry for a day of fun, new experiences, service and reflection on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024. The immersion event is set to run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Learn about sustainability and advocacy, while also celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The immersion day will provide opportunities for students to experience the Detroit community by visiting local non-profits, learning from leaders addressing the issues of ecological and racial justice as well as making new friends and sharing together.

A light breakfast, lunch and transportation will be provided at no cost. All Detroit Mercy students are welcome.

Register by Friday, Jan. 12. The maximum capacity for this immersion experience is 10 students. A waitlist for students will be created once capacity is reached.

With any questions, please contact Chelsea Manning at mannincp@udmercy.edu or Doug Baker at bakerdj2@udmercy.edu.
