Founders Week roundtable Sept. 26 discusses nonviolence

The Office of Mission Integration and University Ministry welcomes all faculty, staff and administrators for a Founders Week roundtable discussion on nonviolence, set for Thursday, Sept. 28 at 5:30 p.m. in College of Health Professions, Room 124.

Join in food, wine and conversation on supporting nonviolence, promoting peace and achieving a beloved community. A reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and is followed by a presentation and discussion.

Earlier in 2023, faculty and administrators from the McNichols, Riverfront and Corktown campuses participated in a roundtable addressing the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas’ Critical Concern of nonviolence. Participants from Mercy colleges and universities around the country shared their perspectives on how to promote nonviolent thought and practices and support peace at our institutions and in our communities.

Colleagues who will share their work on nonviolence and experiences at the Mercy Roundtable:

  • Bailey Andersen, Director of Student Health & Wellness Services, School of Dentistry
  • Erin Archerd, Associate Professor of Law, School of Law
  • Juliette Daniels, Assistant Dean for Student Services & Enrollment Management, School of Dentistry
  • Joe Eisenhauer, Dean, College of Business Administration
  • Megan Novell, Title IX Coordinator and Equity and Compliance Specialist and Co-Director of Women’s and Gender Studies
  • Thomas Provost, Assistant Professor, School of Architecture & Community Development
