Maurice Greenia, Jr. ’76 (a.k.a Maugre), a longtime McNichols Campus Library assistant, poet and Detroit-based multimedia artist, currently has his latest work on display through Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Detroit Contemporary in Midtown.
The 80-piece exhibit, titled “Outre Space,” is a collaborative effort with fellow Detroit artist Jennifer Gariepy, and features painting, watercolors, collage, drawings and sculpture. Upcoming corresponding exhibit events include a teatime with the artists and a closing night celebration featuring a puppet show and set by Greenia’s very own Spaceband.
