Looking to get involved on MLK Day? Help the AmeriCorps Urban Safety Program board up vacant homes and clean lots around the Fitzgerald neighborhood near the McNichols Campus. The service day will begin at Bethune Elementary-Middle School, 8145 Puritan, on Monday, Jan. 21 at 8 a.m. Work will conclude at 2 p.m. Register online.
Student organizations will host Osborn High School students on campus in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 12:45 to 2 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom. Event activities will include a student panel, icebreaker games, a discussion with Public Safety and lunch. Campus Kitchen will also sponsor an on-campus cider mill this week.
