The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) Go Move Challenge returns in 2022 as all campuses go head-to-head to see who can moved the most during the month of February.
Help Detroit Mercy and your department win in a competition against other Jesuit institutions! Registration for the 10th annual challenge is now open and the Go Move Challenge officially begins Tuesday, Feb. 1.
Whether it is walking, running, lifting weights, shoveling snow or exercising, every minute counts in the challenge. Compete as a collective department against other departments across the University, while also helping Detroit Mercy against the other Jesuit college and university campuses.
The department that averages the most average minutes nets a grand prize of $200. The School of Architecture & Community Development won with 15 people in 2020, while Information Technology Services (ITS) was the winner with three members last year in 2021. To be eligible for the prize, three members of your department must be signed up. Everyone is also eligible for $50 weekly prizes along the way.
As a whole in 2021, Detroit Mercy finished No. 4 in average minutes and No. 1 in the Midwest.
