University community, registration is open for the annual Fall Colleague Development Days on Detroit Mercy’s McNichols Campus.
The programming takes place Aug. 17-18, with both in-person and virtual sessions covering a variety of topics. Sessions begin each day at 9 a.m. with four different time slots each day and the final session concluding at roughly 4 p.m. each day. In partnership with the BUILD program, a third day has been added for a peer mentoring workshop on Thursday, Aug. 25.
Registration will close on Wednesday, Aug. 10. Please be sure to register before then to confirm your reservations.
Among the highlights this year:
- An introduction by Detroit Mercy Provost Pam Zarkowski.
- Keynote speaker Mark Ostach, who will focus on how to foster better relationships and more satisfaction at work. In Ostach’s uplifting talk, he will explore the importance of digital wellbeing and communication in times of change.
- Day two online featured speaker Marla Guerrero, DEI advocate and chair of the Dreamers Support Committee at Marquette University, will outline how members of the Detroit Mercy community can best support students who are DACA recipients and Dreamers.
In addition to the featured speakers, there will be two days of concurrent sessions in four tracks that will be relevant to the entire University community, highlighting a wealth of knowledge from our colleagues that is certain to inspire all with a new school year drawing near.
Faculty, staff and administrators are encouraged to review the session descriptions and objectives to learn more about the content for each session. Check out the link below for a complete schedule and to register for the sessions.
