The Women’s and Gender Studies Program at Detroit Mercy presents a screening of Fork Films’ documentary, “The Trials of Spring,” at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 in Ford Life Sciences Building, Room 115.
The film follows three Egyptian activists in their fight to ensure that women were included in the Arab Spring movement of 2011. The screening will be followed by a discussion.
The event is co-sponsored by the Political Science Department, the Islamic Studies Program and the Muslim Student Association.
