2022 graduates, this year’s Grad Salute will be held Thursday, March 17 in the lobby of the Student Fitness Center from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
No RSVP is required, just stop by anytime and gear up for 2022 Commencement.

Social media photo booth – #DetroitMercy2022
Grad Salute will host a photo station with props and signs ready to celebrate your Detroit Mercy accomplishments. Write a message on a prop to thank your family, instructors, advisors or best friend and strike a pose. These photos will be displayed in Calihan Hall prior to the Commencement ceremony for family and friends to see while they are wait for the program to begin.
Additionally, any photos tagged #DetroitMercy2022 on social media between now and May 14 will also be on display at Commencement.
Alumni Relations and Senior Class Gift giveaways
Don’t miss out on the Alumni Relations and Senior Class Gift tables. They will be featuring a spin and win wheel for seniors to win some alumni branded prizes such as wine glasses, license plate holders, travel mugs, business card holders and more.
All seniors who sign up for the alumni website Forever Titans are entered to win a special Detroit Mercy diploma frame.
Pre-ceremony cap and gown photos
Grad Images, the official Commencement photographer, will be on campus to take a picture of any senior in a provided cap and gown. Alternatively, dress up and take a professional head shot for your LinkedIn profile. Either way, it’s free!
Class rings
Herff-Jones will be available to assist all seniors in ordering graduation announcements and class rings.
