Spring break on the McNichols Campus is here and with it, hopefully, a few days of relaxation and being able to step away from the daily duties of a busy student, faculty or staff member.
Maybe this also means that you will find the time during the break to pick up a new book or revisit one you’ve loved for years.
Pulitzer Prize-winning and Native American novelist N. Scott Momaday’s recent passing (on Jan. 24, 2024) inspired Detroit Mercy’s English Department to compile a list of our favorite books written by Native American authors.
Among the favorites authored by Momaday are “House Made of Dawn,” “The Man Made of Words” and “The Way to Rainy Mountain.”
