On behalf of the Institute for Leadership and Service, our Student Spotlight shines on senior DiaMond Sewell!
Sewell has been instrumental in the creation of our student food pantry, The Hive. Founding Director Dohna Dudley has often said that The Hive would not have been possible without Sewell. ILS staff and administrators have added that “she could have had any job she wanted on campus and she chose to help the students through food justice.” Colleagues who work closely with Sewell comment that she always remains calm and collected, even when facing difficult challenges. An excellent example of selfless service and leadership, best wishes to DiaMond as you go forth from Detroit Mercy towards the future!
