The Student Success Center (SSC) is open and available to all students Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Located on the third floor of the McNichols Campus Library, the SSC is to help you succeed this semester. To best serve academic needs, all services will be offered both in-person and virtually.
Free Tutoring
To provide the most support for your academic needs, the SSC has created a free online tutoring classroom through Blackboard Collaborate. Each tutor will host a room for a specific subject. If a subject is not listed or you need help, contact the SSC at 313-993-1143. Make a tutoring appointment today.
Learning Communities
The SSC offers virtual learning communities conducted by tutors who sit in on specific sections of targeted courses throughout the term and host weekly study sessions. These guided learning communities support first-year math, science and statistics classes.
Professional and Peer Mentoring
Mentors meet with students weekly to provide academic success coaching and to connect them with available resources on campus.
Bentley and Pet Therapy
Your favorite campus therapy dog is back this semester and will be happy to help you de-stress while studying at the SSC.
