Submit proposals, receive funding for Community Engaged Learning Projects

Six students smile and point towards a poster board that reads the Brainiac Pack. The Ford Community Corps Partnership at UDM invites you to submit proposals for funding projects for Community Engaged Learning courses.

If you have a community engagement project in mind, please provide us with a one-paragraph narrative explanation of the project, highlighting its goals, impact and relevance to the community. Additionally, include a proposed budget for the successful execution of the project. Submit proposals to theinstitute@udmercy.edu.

The first deadline will be Wednesday, Dec. 13 — for those who want to know soon if they can expect funding for next semester. We will only consider funding for projects that occur in the Winter 2024 semester for this first round.

The second deadline is Tuesday, Jan. 9 — for those who want some time over the holiday break to develop their thoughts and projects. Priority will be given to funding Winter 2024 projects. If funds remain, projects for Fall 2024 will be considered.

For more information about how to apply, including funding restrictions, visit this link and then clock on the light blue bar at the top that says, “How to Apply.”

On a more somber note, this marks the end of 12 years of funding through Ford Community Corps. The FCCP Oversight Committee is grateful for all of the support that the Ford Motor Company Fund has provided throughout the years. We are using the remainder of the funds to support the projects proposed in this RFP.

Please contact Tim Hipskind at hipskijt@udmercy.edu if you are interested. We look forward to reviewing your proposals!
