Participants will engage in current-day civil rights issues around racism and voting access as well tour historical sites.

Service immersion trip to Joppa Mountain, Tennessee, takes place during spring break, March 1-7, 2025. UDM students of all faiths or non-faiths are invited to apply for this opportunity. Participants will engage in hands-on service in the community around Joppa Mountain, including building homes, working in food pantries and learning about the systemic issues that contribute to poverty and displacement.
