“My name is Nijal Journey. I joined the University of Detroit Mercy community in fall 2022 as the bookstore manager for the McNichols, Corktown and Riverfront campuses. I graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education.
“As a manager, my specialty is serving universities with their textbooks and general merchandise. I am always looking to make a difference in our student experience and working with campus partners to invest in our student’s success.
“As a former resident of Detroit, I have always been familiar with the University and now I’m excited to serve its faculty, staff and students.
