You are invited to participate in the University of Southern California (USC) Cybersecurity Initiative Michigan Virtual Workshop on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 1:30 p.m. EDT.
Because of the COVID-19 virus, the U.S. faces unprecedented changes to the election landscape. Cybersecurity is more important than ever and citizens, community and political leaders and organizations must now view it through a different lens. At this virtual workshop, organizers will discuss a number of subjects, including primary date changes, direct mail voting and best practices for cyber safety. Experts from around Michigan and from USC will be featured, as well as former governor Rick Snyder, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and MITRE’s Emily Frye.
The USC Election Cybersecurity Initiative is a new non-partisan independent project that is part of a 50-state initiative made possible with generous funding from Google and the Associated Press.
