Virtual Giving Tree

Virtual Giving Tree

Tons of presents from Detroit Mercy Adopt-a-Famly 2019

Around this time of year, the Student Life Office and Department of Public Safety collaborate and organize a Detroit Mercy Giving Tree. Traditionally, the University focuses on the Detroit area, gathering stacks of wrapped presents and delivering them to families in need. In an effort to keep everyone healthy and safe given current procedures and state guidelines, Detroit Mercy will offer a Virtual Giving Tree this holiday season. The following Detroit organizations are accepting gifts through their Amazon Wish Lists:

Pope Francis Center

Gleaners Online Food Drive

Samaritas

Student Life has also reached out to Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries for virtual gift opportunities. This year, the DRMM Christmas Store would like to focus on clothing for boys and teens, particularly sweat outfits of all sizes, to help battle the cold weather for those experiencing homelessness. For more information on how to contribute to the DRMM Christmas Store, contact Jamie McMillen at jmcmillen@drmm.org.

Thank you all for considering a gift and hope you have a safe, warm and healthy holiday season.
