When it’s time to sit down and get studying or finish an assignment, we often find that everything around us becomes a distraction, even our own thoughts!
Stress can play a major role in why you can’t focus when it’s time to get in the zone.
If you notice your mind wandering, you’re feeling overwhelmed or falling off track take a moment to pause. Take a deep breath and focus on the thoughts you are having.
If your phone becomes a distraction, put it on “do not disturb” and out of reach. If you are feeling anxious and tense, take five deep breaths or even do a short meditation that can be found on apps such as Insight Timer.
