University of Detroit Mercy’s community of employees and students adopted more than 10 families for the holidays, thanks to the coordination of Public Safety Sergeant Sean Bacon and his department. On Tuesday, Dec. 18, participating groups came together to pack up and deliver hundreds of wrapped presents to their respective families. Gifts included winter gear, toys, books, gift cards and games. The adopted families were part of Gesu Church’s St. Vincent de Paul support network.
Thank you to everyone who helped spread holiday cheer this season, especially Public Safety, ReBUILDetroit, DAPCEP, Campus Ministry, TRiO, Student Life and Financial Aid. See the photo gallery online.
