Antoine Davis breaks NCAA Division I three-point record

Congratulations to the Titans’ Antoine Davis, who broke the NCAA Division I freshman three-point record last night at Calihan Hall in a 87-85 win over IUPUI.

Davis scored 20 points during the contest. Senior Josh McFolley had a game-high 23 points.

Three minutes into the second half, Davis broke NBA legend Stephen Curry’s NCAA single-season record for freshman three-pointers, sinking his 123rd triple of the year. Davis entered the contest needing just two three-pointers to break the mark.

With the win, Detroit Mercy moves to 11-18 on the season and 8-9 in Horizon League play. The Titans play UIC Saturday, March 2, at 4 p.m.  at Calihan Hall on the McNichols Campus.
