City of Detroit logoDetroit Mercy will join in solidarity with the City of Detroit on Monday, Aug. 31, as it honors the more than 1,500 Detroiters who lost their lives to COVID-19 and to commemorate the resilience of Detroit.

At 8:45 a.m. on Monday, we will ring the bells of the clock tower on the McNichols Campus as the city begins its commemoration with a memorial procession through Belle Isle. We invite you during those 15 minutes to pause and join the community in remembering all those we have lost over the past months, and recall with gratitude how the community has come together during this difficult period.
