Warm up at the Titan Winter Blast, Feb. 26

We all deserve a little fun, so make sure to take part in the annual Titan Winter Blast!

Participants will enjoy the flavors of this year’s chili cook-off, scrumptious Coney dogs from National Coney Island, frolicking horse-drawn trolley rides through campus (must register in advance) and numerous games and activities, including snowman can toss, fowling, face painting and more.

The Titan Winter Blast is set for Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Student Fitness Center on the McNichols Campus. The fun and activities start at 11 a.m., prior to the 1 p.m. men’s basketball game at Calihan Hall.

Event features:

  • The popular chili cook-off (Check out a list of the chefs!)
  • Buffet featuring Coney dogs from National Coney Island
  • Horse-drawn trolley rides through campus (25 seats per time slot, must reserve a time slot in advance)
  • Fire pits and s’mores
  • Fowling, a Detroit staple, brought to you
  • Numerous games and activities, including cornhole, snowman can toss, face painting and kid’s winter-themed crafts

COST: General admission includes tasting at chili cook-off, open beer and wine bar, buffet, all activities and a ticket to men’s basketball game.

Students:

  • Free — All games, activities and s’mores
  • $5 ($10 after Feb. 6) — Food and beverage package (buffet, drinks, cookies, cocoa and chili cook-off tastings)

General Admission/Non-students:

  • $20 ($25 after Feb. 6)
  • FREE — Children 10 and under
