SACD to host symposium on Reinventing Public Spaces in BIDs, March 25

Detroit Mercy’s School of Architecture & Community Development will host an all-day virtual symposium, “Reinventing Public Space in Business Improvement Districts” on Friday, March 25.

The free symposium is set to run from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will feature paper presentations and lightning talks from both academics and practitioners. Those interested are asked to register in advance.

Detroit Mercy participants include Associate Dean and Professor of the School of Architecture & Community Development Noah Resnick, Adjunct Professors Dorian Moore and Charles Cross and F. Philip Barash ’01.

It will also include a round-table discussion looking at recent public space developments in downtown Detroit, as well as a keynote lecture by Jerry Mitchell, professor at City University of New York (CUNY).
