Participate in Detroit Mercy’s Day of Giving, Sept. 27

On Tuesday, Sept. 27, Detroit Mercy’s Alumni Relations and Annual Giving Offices will host Day of Giving, an annual event that celebrates and educates students about how alumni contributions of time, talent and treasure help current students and enrich the University.

Day of Giving Logo for University of Detroit MercyThis year, a number of events and activities will take place in both in-person and virtual formats. Some of these activities include the following:

  • Writing a thank-you note to a donor and receiving a coupon for a boxed lunch
  • Detroit Mercy trivia, while enjoying a cup of cider
  • Philanthropy discussion presented in the Student Union ballroom by Detroit Mercy student Jeremiah Steen ’23
  • Scavenger hunt with selfies

In addition, participants have a chance to win several prizes, including Visa gift cards. As a bonus, all students who participate in-person for the student speaker will also earn a boxed lunch coupon and be entered into a special raffle!

There will be several prizes for student participation which will be verified using the passport program. The more you participate in Day of Giving, means the more ways to win. Earn Detroit Mercy Tech Stickers for participating in one activity, a water bottle plus the stickers for participating in two to four events and in addition to the other prizes, a Detroit Mercy T-shirt for five or more activities.
