On Sept. 15, Professor of History and department co-chair Roy E. Finkenbine gave a talk on “The Indigenous Underground Railroad” at Latrobe University in Melbourne, Australia.
The talk, part of their seminar series, was also streamed live to Latrobe’s eight regional campuses and to conference participants in New South Wales.
Two days later on Sept. 17, Finkenbine also spoke to the annual Michigan Underground Railroad Heritage Gathering in Lansing in a pre-recorded presentation on “1862: The Year the Underground Railroad Changed.”
