Emory Theology professor is speaker for Cushing Distinguished Lecture

The Department of Religious Studies invites the campus community to the 2023 Cushing Distinguished Lecture, set for Thursday, April 13 at 7 p.m. in the College of Health Professions, Room 124.

The speaker for 2023 is Kwok Pui Lan, the Dean’s Professor of Systematic Theology at Candler School of Theology at Emory University.

The lecture is titled, “Political Theology from a Transpacific Perspective.”

She has authored and edited numerous books on Asian and Asian American feminist theology, biblical interpretation, and postcolonial criticism, including Postcolonial Politics and Theology and Globalization, Gender and Peacebuilding. She is also the editor of Women and Christianity in four volumes.
