Celebration of Fr. Cavanagh set for June 3

Fr. Jerry Cavanagh’s unparalleled life and career as a founder of the field of Business Ethics will be celebrated Saturday, June 3 on the McNichols Campus.

This special event — originally scheduled as his retirement party — will begin with Mass at 5 p.m. in St. Ignatius Chapel, followed by cocktails and dinner at 6 p.m. inside of the Student Fitness Center.

The evening will feature commemorative gifts for all attendees, a silent auction of some of his works, photos and videos of Fr. Cavanagh and some special announcements from the University. All ticket holders will be invited to share their stories, memories and photographs of Fr. Cavanagh with each other in a special online tribute book.

All net proceeds from the event will support a new Cavanagh Fund for research into ethical solutions to social problems—a project that Fr. Cavanagh himself proposed.

We look forward to remembering and celebrating Fr. Cavanagh with you!

Tickets to our celebration of Fr. Cavanagh’s career are available on the CBA website.
