Founders Week activities open for all of UDM, Sept. 24-29

Founders Week celebrates the opening of the first House of Mercy on Baggot Street in Dublin, Ireland by Catherine McAuley and her companions who formed the order of the Sisters of Mercy.

Founders week also celebrates the approval from Rome of the organization of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) founded by Ignatius of Loyola on Sept. 27, 1540.

  • Sunday, Sept. 24 (9 p.m.) — Mass: Mercy Reflection, St. Ignatius Chapel
  • Monday, Sept. 25 – Friday, Sept. 29 — 1000 Peace Cranes & Grow with Us crafts in Student Union
  • Tuesday, Sept. 26 (6 p.m.) — Take Back the Night!
  • Wednesday, Sept. 27 (12 p.m.) — Mass & Pizza, St. Ignatius Chapel
