All Detroit Mercy students and employees are encouraged to attend virtual Celebrate Spirit! on Thursday, Sept. 10. Celebrate Spirit! is the official welcoming event to the new academic year and part of a tradition dating from European universities in the Middle Ages. This year’s theme is “In Solidarity,” focused on a determination to commit oneself to the common good.
The stream, found above, will begin at 12:20 p.m. and will feature video reflections, student mission grant announcements, a call to action, invitations to contribute to our Healing Wall in St. Ignatius Chapel and a virtual Mass with celebrant Gilbert Sunghera, S.J.
