The UDM community is invited to a director’s cut screening and discussion of a new documentary titled “Citizens Revival.” The subject of this documentary is the 2024 Presidential election and impressions of college students across the U.S. This thought-provoking film explores the power of grassroots movements in shaping our civic communities, particularly with a focus on education and participation.
This in-person event will take place on Jan. 15 inside the Briggs Building, Room 317. Check-in begins at 3:30 p.m. with the film set to start at 4 p.m.
UDM hosted filmmaker Becca Finley during the 2024 Presidental election, who worked to gather the thoughts and impressions of UDM students on this election. The film celebrates the power of ordinary people who contribute to our democracy and demonstrates how hope triumphs over fear, and participation wins.
The film preview will be followed by a Q&A with several of the film’s creators and participants, including students from UDM.
This is a free screening with limited seating, so please RSVP.
