The Office of Mission Integration will be celebrating their next monthly liturgy at noon Wednesday, Nov. 15 in the St. Ignatius Chapel inside the Commerce & Finance Building on the McNichols Campus.
This celebration will be an occasion to commemorate the Jesuit martyrs of El Salvador and their housekeeper and her daughter, who were killed on Nov. 16, 1989.
Fr. Patrick Kelly, S.J. will celebrate the liturgy and preach on how the lives and witness of the Salvadoran Jesuits is related to our educational mission at Detroit Mercy.
There will be a pizza lunch and time to visit with colleagues afterwards in Commerce & Finance, Room 238.
At each monthly liturgy, colleagues will have an opportunity to reflect on a theme central to the University’s Mercy-Jesuit educational mission. Persons of all religious backgrounds or who are not affiliated with a religious tradition are encouraged to attend.
