Detroit Mercy students are invited to apply to compete in a Sustainability Pitch Competition, which is being hosted by Wayne State University from Feb. 7-12.
The virtual sustainability pitch challenge is open to all students from Detroit Mercy, Lawrence Tech and Wayne State. Students are asked to submit an essay (1,000 words or less) detailing your interest in sustainability space. The top 50 applicants will then be invited to compete.
Registration for the competition closes on Feb. 1. The competition runs for six days and each student is assigned a coach to help work through their case. On Feb. 12, each team presents its solutions to judges and then prizes will be awarded.
First prize is worth $2,500, while second and third place net $1,000. All participants will receive gift cards.
